About Me

In need of a creative outlet, I began writing fiction novels soon after my second child was born.

I am a voracious reader of books and love the ones where I learn something as I enjoy reading. I do a LOT of writing for my “day” job and when I read a romance book, I just want to just relax and read a story that is going to end with an “Happily Ever After.” I want them filled with strong characters My women are feisty and my men like their women that way—but are no means weak. I really like book series that are not focused only on the newest couple, but include friends and family members beyond a cameo appearance, but juicy information to let me know stuff (e.g., did they stay together, if they are happy, do they have children) so I get to find out “the rest of the story” throughout the series. So that is what I write. I know my historical novels use modern verbiage (no brogue or old dialect) because that is what I like to read. Also, I try to tie modern concepts and themes in the story. But most of all, I hope I am writing stories that make you laugh out loud and want to read them again and again.

As a consult for more than 30 years, Michele has written numerous novels, received various awards, and worked as a copy editor for a published journal. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her three favorite loves—her loving and supportive children and a 5-lb Maltese puppy.
